How Nice Rice donations support food deliveries in Denver
A donation to Nice Rice supports the work of preparing and hand-delivering free rice rolls in Denver. Ingredients are part of that work. So are cooking, storage, equipment, and getting the food to a distribution site.
We call each delivery a drop. The name is short; the work behind it takes several steps.
From ingredients to a food drop
Nice Rice rolls are made with rice, eggs, butter, and spices. The rolls are prepared, wrapped in foil, and stored frozen until a drop. They are then heated, transported to distribution sites in Denver, and handed out free of charge.
Donations and revenue from the Nice Rice store help fund this process. The store gives people another way to support the work, alongside direct giving.
You can see the full outline on our How page.
What does a completed drop look like?
For a concrete example, Drop 38 records 94 rice rolls donated on October 10, 2026.
That number describes the food recorded for that delivery. It is not a count of unique people served. Keeping that distinction clear helps a donor understand exactly what a report shows.
Our Drops archive collects past updates. It is a place to see the work itself, with the dates and details recorded for individual deliveries.
Give once or support the work monthly
The donation page offers one-time and monthly giving. You can choose the option that fits you and the amount you want to contribute.
If you want to understand Nice Rice before giving, start with the process and a recent drop. Together they explain what we make, how we distribute it, and what has been recorded.
